A Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Certified Case Manager, Dorraine is a highly qualified clinic administrator with extensive clinical experience combined with administration oversight and staff leadership and collaboration experience. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Psychology from Lamar University and has practiced for more than 25 years.
Dorraine is experienced in quality and process improvement, regulation compliance, project management and managing care operations and government health programs for both behavioral health and physical wellness.

Discovery Point Retreat utilizes a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to addiction treatment. Because we recognize substance abuse disorders are often rooted in underlying causes such as past trauma or unaddressed mental health disorders, we take the time to uncover these core issues for long-term success in recovery. We are also an LGBTQIA+ friendly facility, providing a safe space for learning self-acceptance and addressing the unique challenges affecting those within the community.
At Discovery Point, our care is relationship based, not transactional. We go beyond simply treating the symptoms of addiction to real and lasting change in one’s life. Our team is like a family, and each and every client becomes a part of that family, even after successful completion of treatment. By taking the time to get to know each client, our team of clinicians and behavioral health specialists are able to cultivate the most effective treatment regimen for each person individually. This includes evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing as well as supplemental programs like recreational therapy or Equine-Assisted Therapy.
