Bonni Cardoza is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Holding a Masters degree in Counseling psychology, Bonni has been licensed as an LMFT in California and Hawaii for the past 8 years. She has two decades of successful experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Bonni Cardoza is responsible for overseeing our team of knowledgeable and experienced clinicians, case managers and behavioral therapists.Under Bonni’s guidance, our clinical team strives to meet the individual needs of each client to promote long-term success in recovery.
By offering the full continuum of care, Paradises Detox allows clients to smoothly transition between levels of care, which can be vital to success in early recovery. By remaining under the care of the same attentive and compassionate team from detox through outpatient care, clients are able to remain centered and focused on the recovery journey.
Upon admission, clients receive a comprehensive mental health exam and physical to identify their specific treatment needs. This information is used to develop a personalized treatment regimen, including medications prescribed by our staff physician for managing withdrawal symptoms. All medications are administered under clinical supervision to ensure proper adherence to care and minimize risks. Client progress in continually monitored throughout the detox process. During this time, clients also begin to identify and address the underlying causes of substance abuse through group dynamic and individual therapy sessions.
