Fairfield presents their second annual Solano County Recovery Month Celebration. This event features powerful recovery stories in addition to a presentation on recovery in a “holistic, inclusive way”. Kenneth Minkoff, MD joins the event to discuss research and best practices in the mental health and substance abuse community.

The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence celebrates National Recovery Month with an event open to the public. Boasting an oldies car show, Zumba, meditation, HIV screening, and a DJ, this all-ages family event hosts resources from San Fernando Valley to keep you in the know on all things recovery.

Parents for Addiction Treatment and Healing (PATH) presents their 14th annual “Strut for Sobriety!” luncheon and fashion show. Held at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla-Aventine, this event works to eliminate the stigma around substance abuse and addiction with the hopes of “expanding access to quality treatment opportunities”. All proceeds from Strut for Sobriety will go towards the education and advocacy work involving individuals and families affected by addiction.

Intercoastal Colleges celebrates National Recovery Month with an array of events for all attendees. Guest speakers, alumni, clients, and employers all join to offer guests food, prizes, raffles, and meet and greets. Events a part of this celebrations include: Rally and Walk/Run, educational events, and special celebrations including spotlighting those in recovery and contributions made in the name of recovery and the fight against substance abuse.
